The Coastal N.C. Bluegrass Association will present its Bluegrass Blast event Jan. 25-26 at Richlands High School on U.S. 258. The Friday show will begin at 6 p.m. The Saturday show will begin at 3 p.m. Friday will feature the Grassy Creek Band, The Muellers, The Wells Family Band, Carolina Connection and Carolina Road. Saturday will feature the Grassy Creek Band, The Martin Family Band, New River Gospel, The Muellers, The Wells Family Band and The Cockman Family. Tickets are $10 each day, or $15 for both days. Concessions will be available Friday. Barbecue pork and chicken plates will available Saturday for $6 per plate.

The Cockman family sings twice on Saturday, at 6:00 PM and 9:45 PM.
