May 11... We played again at Doyle Lawson's Bluegrass Festival, Thursday night at the Denton Farm Park. With us were The Isaacs, Blue Highway, The James King Band, and New Found Road. We are scheduled to be back again next year.

May 20... Cousin Clyde Maness invited us down to his music barn and pottery shop in Carthage, NC. We had a great BBQ dinner, then a fun time at the barn with Clyde and company.

May 26-28... Fiddler's Grove was very special to us this year. Wanona Van Hoy passed away on March 4, 2006, leaving her husband Harper with the tough decision of whether or not to continue the festival.  Since he could not bear to lose the festival in the same year, friends and family stepped in to continue the tradition.  Jessie Cockman performed the lion's share of festival work, and we thank her and everyone else who gave or their time an resources. Thanks to Melissa Morrison for the pictures!
