January... We always look forward to singing for our local volunteers, especially when a chicken dinner is involved. It is always fun to see who gets an award. And good news -- no one had to go running out during the concert to answer an alarm this year!

February 19... We have been visiting Beth Page United Methodist for a few years now, and every year the church seems to get bigger! It is always a blessing to know a church is growing in size and membership, but even more to be growing spiritually. We were also especially pleased to have Grandma Cockman with us!

February 25... Saturday evening we gave a benefit concert at the East Lincoln Baptist Church. The benefit was for Pastor Lynard Hunter's medical bills. It was the first time we'd been to East Lincoln Baptist, and the church provided snacks in the fellowship hall afterward. Concert pictures are forthcoming. |

March 12... We sang for the first time at Peace Haven Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro. We really loved this spirited congregation! Ben's fiancé Melissa brought her parents Floren and Julinda from Kentucky. Floren is having knee surgery next week, and I'm sure that he will appreciate your prayers. |

March 16... We hardly recognized the Second Baptist Church sanctuary for all the foliage, wildlife and fishing and hunting supplies. The church was all decked out for the annual sportsman's banquet, which draws around 700 hunters and fishermen from Lancaster and surrounding areas. The Cockman Brothers performed a few songs and instrumentals before the special speaker and door prizes. Billy won an "ultimate turkey vest"! |

March 25... "The Butterpats" performed at the Mooresville fiddlers convention, hosted by the Mooresville Lions Club. This was the first place that the Cockman Brothers performed as an instrumental band, eighteen years ago. The Butterpats followed in their uncles' footsteps, winning the "Most Promising Talent" prize.

March 26... It was nice to sing just a few miles down the road from our house at Rehobeth UMC in Terrell, NC. This is the same church that David and Jessie were married in. We always enjoy singing for our friends and neighbors, and we had a great reception in the fellowship hall following the service!
