August 6... We were happy to be back in Burnsville for their annual Crafts Fair.  We played on the outdoor stage on the town square directly after the Melody Masters Quartet.  Then we moved indoors to the air-conditioned Town Center for a concert directly after the Dowden Sisters.  David played the bass with the Dowden Sisters.  We loved walking along the streets looking at the beautiful crafts, and there were vendors and street entertainers as well.

August 13... The rest of the Cockman Family decided not to brave the Shindig on the Green because of the looming weather, so I was the only one there.  Arwen, Lorien and I had fun jamming on the lawn, and they had picked out some cowboy songs to sing on stage, but the didn't get the chance as the Shindig was rained out!  This was our last chance this summer to make it to the Shindig, so... maybe next year!

August 14... Dayspring Community Church is a beautiful log church in China Grove.  It started as a Bible study group at a daycare center, then moved into a middle school before finally building here.  We sang for Dayspring's homecoming, and so we were treated to a slide-show of the building stages of the church.  After the service, we gathered downstairs for a BBQ chicken and covered-dish homecoming dinner!

August 20... The weather was very nice for the Lincoln County Jesus Video Project Fundraiser at Rock Springs Campground, home of Rock Springs Methodist Camp Meeting.  The goal was to raise money to put the Jesus Video in every home in Lincoln County.  There were games, watermelon, and lots of fun, including a cruise in car show, a Christian talent show, and an open mic gospel singing.
