concert of April was to benefit the Cabarrus County Law Enforcement
Officers Association. We were joined by Zion's Hill and
The Wishons.
Promoter Earlene Hicks was there to emcee the event. Sorry no

April 24... Saturday, we were honored to visit with our old friends Claude and Barbara Hill, and to make some music with banjo legend Fred Bisel. Fred invited us to Craven Community College's first annual SpringFest, held outdoors on the campus. There were some great area musicians, and we especially enjoyed the midnight jam session with Fred in the school auditorium. |

April 25... Sunday we stopped in at First Baptist Church in Whitsett for an evening concert. This was our tenth year to visit Pastor Tim, and as usual we felt as if we were joining family. Kelly was treated to a long conversation with championship pro wrestler "Private" Don Kernodle, whom Kelly had seen live several times in his youth. Don is a friend of evangelist and former pro wrestler Nikita Koloff, who has preached several times at Whitsett First Baptist.
