June 14... This was our second straight at Stowe Memorial Park in beautiful Belmont, NC.  The covered stage faces the parks three terraces, making a nice amphitheatre.  Arwen made her first stage appearance, singing and playing her Rover mandolin on "Amazing Grace".  The train comes through town right by the park, so it's fun to break into the "Orange Blossom Special" when we hear the whistle.

June 21... There was a fine crowd at Todd General Store in Todd, NC.  Built in 1914, the Todd store is one of the few remaining authentic general stores in North Carolina.  The store is on the Railroad Grade Road, an extremely scenic bicycle route.  We sang across the road from the store in the Walter and Annie Cook Memorial Park, which is bordered by the South Fork of the New River, actually thought to be one of world's oldest rivers.  Visit toddgeneralstore.com for more information.

June 28... Coddle Creek ARP Church south of Mooresville, NC, is marking their 250th Anniversary.  To celebrate, the church and community gathered in the parking lot for hot dogs and bluegrass.  The audience was filled with a surprising number of our friends and neighbors, and we had a fun concert.  After the singing we retired to Carolina Cones in Cornelius for some ice cream and fellowship.

June 29... Sunday morning we were in Spartanburg, SC, to sing at St. Paul's Methodist Church.  We sang during the Sunday-School period between the two morning services.  This was also a special day because it's Billy's 27th birthday!  We ate a Wade's, a great family-style restaurant owned by one of the St. Paul's church members, and picked up some fireworks on the way home.
