January 12 ... After weather and other circumstances cancelled our concerts the previous week, we were grateful to get a chance to do a little singing.  However, we're always a little nervous when it comes to singing to our own community.  The Sherrill's Ford Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad's annual Awards Banquet was held at the Hopewell Community Center, and the BBQ was great.  A bell rang in the middle of our concert and half of the crowd ran out, which we thought was a little rude.  But, we continued singing for those that remained.

January 19 ... We made our first trip to Spindale, NC, to sing at WNCW Studio B for "The Gospel Truth", a syndicated radio program which ran at 7:00 AM (Eastern Time) the following day.  We sang and were interviewed by host Dennis Jones for about forty-five minutes.

January 20 ... The crowd was energetic as usual at Franklin Baptist Church in Salisbury.  Our friends Robert and Cindy Poe invited us back for a second year to eat and sing.

January 27 ... We were happy to return to the First Baptist Church of Taylorsville, NC.  We had a great time this year, and got to see a lot of folks we haven't seen in a while.  Aunt Ginny Speaks came up from Statesville, along with her friend Judy Hoover.
