November 6 ...We left Friday morning and drove to Daytona, while David and Jessie flew down to visit some family near Tampa. Saturday morning we drove to the Holiday Inn at Indian Rocks Beach and ate lunch at Crabby Bill's Seafood Restaurant. Indian Rocks First Baptist Church sponsored a carnival for the community, and at 6:00 PM they stopped the rides for a singing in the big tent. There was a great crowd, and after the singing the rides re-opened for more fun. We got to meet Jessie's cousins and her Grandfather, and we ran into the Birdsong Family from LaFollette, TN. We last saw the Birdsongs at SPBGMA in Nashville. After the singing we had a good night's sleep and left early Sunday morning for home.

November 6 ...It was a gospel concert at Central Baptist in Monroe. There were two great groups there from Georgia, along with the Cockman Family. Along with the singing, the church provided a wonderful BBQ dinner.

November 6 ...We had a great time as usual with Doug Caldwell and Hickory Chapel Wesleyan in Jamestown. This was their old-fashioned service, but we were mostly interested in their old-fashioned cooking. Our Aunt Mary and Uncle Darl Fowler came with Grandma Cockman, as well as Uncle Dwain and Aunt Margaret Kitchel. Margaret publishes the Callie Cockman Family Cookbook. November 11 ...Sunday afternoon, Kannapolis Church of God was still decked out in patriotic colors from the earlier Veteran's Day service. We had a good singing using the church's sound system, and were able to make it home in time for supper at the Cracker Barrel.

November 17 ...We always have a great time at New Testament Baptist Church with Rev. J. E. Edwards. Rev. Edwards had supper waiting for us when we arrived, and we had a great time in the brand new fellowship hall. Sorry no pictures -- click here for last year's concert at New Testament.

November 6 ...Once again we celebrated Thanksgiving at the Assembly Inn on the campus of Montreat Anderson College. Grandma Came with Margaret and Dwain. It was also great to see Jennifer's cousin, Jennifer Brooks. Jennifer plays basketball for Montreat, and they're have a great year. Click here for last year's pictures at the Inn.
