May 12... We always have fun jamming and visiting at Fiddler's Conventions, but this is probably the last time we'll compete as a band.  We're starting to feel a little uncomfortable with the competition thing.  We had a good time, though, and won some prizes.  It was great to have the entire family together.

May 20... We were happy to be close to home again at Center United Methodist Church near Sherrill's Ford.  Pastor Nick Rochester and congregation made us welcome and we had a good singing.  We got to see a lot of friends and cousins, then we headed up the mountain to Altapas.

May 20... The mountains were beautiful as we drove up the Blue Ridge Parkway to Altapas, just below Spruce Pines.  We had a great time singing, even if they did make fun of our bus.  We also stopped into the North Caroline Mineral Museum and looked at some local rocks.
