January 14... For the seventh or eight straight year we sang for our friends at Whitsett Baptist Church in Whitsett, NC. It was a very special event because Pastor Tim Stevens and family honored mama with a song and a dozen roses. The Poe family came all the way from Salisbury, and Pastor Tim's dad was down from Vinton, VA. After the concert we visited the Golden Corral for food and fellowship. January 21... We were at my home in snowy Boone Sunday night for a concert at Greenway Baptist Church. There was a good crowd for a blustery evening with a forecast of more snow, and we had a great time. Camera problems here... More pictures to come!

January 27... We had a blast a Craven Community College in New Bern, NC. Our banjo buddy Fred Bisel invited us down for an evening of great music. Fred, who teaches math at the college, is featured in his group "New Song Grass", and the sound and some good music was provided by the band "Sidekick".
