August 4... It was extra hot on the stage at Burnsville, but we had a great time looking at crafts and listening to the music. The Melody Masters Quartet supplied the sound and some great singing, and there were many other fantastic local acts. The crowd was much improved from last year, and there were many more vendors as well. Jennifer got a nice visit from her old boss and some friends from Samaritans Purse. |

August 5... This was our fourth time here at Christ Covenant Church in Matthews. We're always a little awed by this beautiful, huge church, but a lot of friends came by to make us feel at home. After the concert we dropped into Back Yard Burgers for a late supper, then made our way though Charlotte and back up to Sherrill's Ford. |

August 12... We got to see some of our cousins in Clover, SC, as Rusty Sr. and Ronald Cockman came by for our concert at the First Baptist Church. This was our third concert at First Baptist, and the concert was moved to the fellowship hall because of the growing audience. We were able to sing a lot of the new songs that will appear on the new album. |

August 18... We always enjoy the festival atmosphere at the Shin Dig on the Green in downtown Asheville. There's always a good crowd and Glen Bannerman is a great MC. The Shin Dig goes on every Saturday throughout the summer, and we always try to go at least once a year. |

August 24... Glenn Sanford of Lighthouse Promotions gave us a very warm welcome at the Lexington, NC, YMCA. We enjoyed the super-fast bluegrass music of the Lanning Sisters, and the hospitality of the folks that were able to attend.
