Feb 12... We were in concert at Mooresville Senior High on February 12th at 7:00 PM with the Melody Masters Quartet.  These guys could really sing!  It was great to see so many of our friends and mail-list subscribers.  Jennifer's parents, Aubrey and Elizabeth, came down from Boone to be with us.  Also Jim Stines brought his family by.  Aubrey and Jim are working together to build Caroline and Kelly's house.  Our Grandparents Gabriel also came. After the concert we went to Cracker Barrel with Alan and Vonnie Brown, along with Kenneth Deese, Becky Roark, Jessie Valier and Jamie Rushing.

Feb 13... Rev. Roger Underwood invited us to First Baptist Church of Taylorsville where we made up for a snowy January 3rd.  We brought along Mike Hall, a brother from our church in Newton.  We were also tickled to see our cousin Rodney Speaks all dressed up, but he slipped out before we could get a picture of it.  After the singing, we all went over to the preacher's house where his wife Sharon and others had prepared hot dogs and refreshments.  Jennifer and I left early, but the boys stayed and picked the night away. It was a treat to see Harper and Wansie VanHoy.  CLICK HERE to read about Harper's Memorial Day Festival at Fiddler's Grove!

Feb 19... It was a very exciting night!  We could really feel the spirit of the Lord at Hickory Bible Tabernacle in Hickory, NC.  I believe that Brother Benjamin Clark and his family are going to be blessed by dedicating their lives to the gospel of Christ.  We also got to hear Hope Miller of the Miller Sisters (see sing a special song.  After the concert we went to Shoney's to celebrate Kenneth Deese's birthday.  And since this was the first singing A.B. (after baby) I brought pictures for the proud grandparents!

Feb 27... Saturday night we sang from 7:00 to 9:00 in Fall Creek, NC.  Fall creek is a community that really supports its fire department.  At this benefit we were treated to a tasty supper of chicken stew (cooked in huge cauldrons) and three tables lined with dessert.  We had a lot of requests and everyone stayed until the very end.  And since the concert was held at Fall Creek Elementary School, we got in a few games of tetherball during the break!

Feb 27... Sunday morning at 11:00 we sang at Whitman Park Baptist Church in Mooresville, NC.  Pastor Allen Reid and congregation really treated us well, and we were especially pleased to see Carson and Debbie Cockman of Mooresville.  Carson is a fantastic songwriter, though I'm not sure what he does for money.  It was also neat to meet Mike Morton and his wife Alana.  Mike is a linebacker for the Super Bowl champions; the St. Louis Rams.  After the service we all went down to the Golden Corral for lunch, then I struck it back to Boone to see my baby.
