April 1... Today was April Fools Day (no reference to the Cockmans intended) and we sang in Kannapolis, NC for the Cabarrus County Sheriffs' Association.  Along with the Cockman Family were the Wishons from Wilkesboro, NC and Change of Heart from near Kannapolis.  We always look forward to singing with these two excellent groups.  Erlene Hicks, as usual, was the concert coordinator.

April 7... The Master Breeders chicken farmers (based in Delaware) flocked to Statesville, NC, for their annual meeting Friday night.  After arriving early to chick the microphones, the Cockman family sang at seven o'cluck. We ate some BBQ chicken with made-from-scratch biscuits then eggscused ourselves to go peck up our sound system and leave without ruffling too many feathers.

April 9... It was great to be back home again in the downtown metropolis of Sherrill's Ford.  We have a lot of family that attends Center United Methodist Church.  They, along with Pastor Nick Rochester, really extended the welcome mat.  We plan to be back in September for an outdoor gospel jamboree!

April 16... Again this month we found ourselves in Kannapolis; this time at the North Kannapolis UMC for a 10:30 AM service.  The audience was very receptive and the singing was good, but the highlight of the day was when they closed off 12th street and set out fifty yards of home-cooked food.  That's when the Cockmans utilized their true and greatest talent... eating!

April 23... Today at Sunrise Service, 6:30 AM Easter morning, Arwen Grace Evenstar was dedicated by Pastor Charles Brumley.  She wore a dedication dress given to her by Sister Brumley.  Grandmas and Grandpas Cockman and Riley were present to witness, and afterward we breakfasted at the Golden Coral!

April 29... We were rained out today at Central School!  However, we did get to sing a few songs, then meet some friends.  It was nice to see our cousin Michael Gabriel.  We were then able to leave early and visit Grandma Cockman, along with Aunt Mary and Uncle Darl Fowler in Greensboro, NC.
