September 3-4, 1999 -- Lake Junaluska Folk Festival

This was a really fun two day Smoky Mountain Folk Festival at Lake Junaluska.   The scenery was breathtaking, and the entertainment was just as good.  We especially enjoyed the Lake Junaluska Bag Pipers.  We got to play some basketball and volleyball with Isaac and Seth Barker, and we had a nice stay in the Terrace Inn.

September 11, 1999 -- Mt. View Methodist Church, Newton, NC

We got to finally get to know the Gospel Enforcers.  We had met them before at Grandfather Mountain, but didn't have time to fellowship.  We had a great time, especially when daddy accidentally unplugged them.  The singing was outside, and there were lots of gospel music fans in attendance.  The church supplied the barbeque.

September 25, 1999 -- Murray's Mill Fall Festival

As usual, we had a wonderful time at Murray's Mill.  There were a lot of great bluegrass and gospel groups. and we saw a lot of friends.  There were tons of great food provided by local churches and vendors, along with molasses making, arts and crafts, petting zoos, blacksmith shops, antique farm equipment, and a lot more, including a Civil War reenactment complete with some extremely loud cannon.
