| Billy
sings lead and tenor and plays the
banjo and guitar for the group. He
also writes for the family. Billy
is married to Jamie, has one son,
Jeremiah, and a baby girl, Emma, on
the way! He has written five songs that have been
recorded by the Cockman Family, including "My Love",
a song he sang to Jamie at their wedding. |

Billy teaches
banjo, and graduated from Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory, North
Carolina, with degrees in furniture manufacturing and furniture
design. He is currently a construction
superintendent for Gandy
Communities in Charlotte, NC.

Billy has
probably the best timing in the group, and we're amazed at
how he seems to unconsciously play the banjo. His
hobbies include fishing and four-wheeling. |
